Katrien Wijsman joins Dimeta as the new Business Development Director

At Dimeta, we are thrilled to announce the arrival of our new Business Development Director, Katrien Wijsman, effective 3 July. Katrien will play a crucial role in continuing to drive Dimeta’s growth and expansion. With a background in finance and a zeal for sustainable energy solutions, our new director is poised to significantly impact our organization as we continue to pave the way in the field of DME.

At the same time, we would like to express our deepest gratitude to Luca Vailati, who has decided to accept a relevant opportunity for professional growth in the renewable energy space. His dedication and invaluable contributions have been instrumental in the development and establishment of Dimeta. We thank him for his unwavering commitment and wish him the best in future endeavours.

“On behalf of the entire Dimeta team, I would like to thank Luca for his contributions to Dimeta. His efforts have been integral to our success so far, and we wish him nothing but the best as he embarks on a new journey in his career. At the same time, we warmly welcome Katrien to our team. With her extensive skill set, vast experience in the field and passion for sustainable energy, we are confident that she will lead us to new frontiers of growth and innovation.”

Frankie Ugboma, Dimeta CEO

Katrien joins Dimeta from SHV Energy, where she was the Finance and Investment manager for Sustainable Fuels, responsible for driving the collaborations and investments supporting sustainable low-carbon energy product development. Her arrival is crucial, as we are one step closer to bringing the first commercial-scale DME production plant at Teesside, UK, to fruition.

“I am elated to join the Dimeta team as the Business Development Director. I am enthusiastic about leading our efforts in bringing the first renewable DME production plant to a financial close whilst expanding the portfolio of future projects and building vital partnerships to create a more sustainable future”.
