Frankie Ugboma joins Dimeta as CEO

Frankie Ugboma sits at a table

As Dimeta celebrates a successful year since its establishment in February 2022 by SHV Energy & UGI International, we are delighted to announce that Frankie Ugboma has joined Dimeta as CEO, to lead the organisation on the next phase of its journey.

2022 was focused on establishing the foundations for Dimeta and included two major milestones: the announcement of our first plant location in Teesside and our partnership with Enerkem. Heading into 2023, our focus is on driving our activities further, including global action to enable the safe and effective use of Renewable & Recycled Carbon DME, forging new partnerships to grow fuel production and the deployment of the first molecules from our Demonstration Plant in the UK.
Frankie is an experienced leader with a strong track record across the energy, infrastructure and sustainability sectors. In previous roles, he led the successful development, financing and operations of energy infrastructure projects across both the public and private sectors. Notable recent achievements include the commissioning and operation of the world’s first mass transit waste heat network, linking the London Underground to 1,500 homes and businesses. Frankie succeeds Soren Jacobsen, who led Dimeta in the initial phase of the business and has facilitated a smooth transition for Frankie to take the helm.
Frankie looks forward to working with colleagues, industry and beyond to champion the de-fossilisation of the LPG Industry with Renewable & Recycled Carbon DME.
