Can you talk to us a little about yourself and your role at Dimeta? What inspired your decision to join Dimeta?
MM: I recently joined Dimeta as the Sustainable Fuels Project Development Engineer. As part of my role, I oversee the technical project management of ongoing and future Renewable & Recycled Carbon DME plant development. With over 15 years of experience in various positions within the biofuels, oil, and gas industries, including engineering manager and process engineer, I bring a wealth of knowledge to this role.
My chemical engineering background and my passion for sustainability have driven me to join Dimeta. This decision marks the next chapter in my professional journey within the biofuels industry, which began in 2020. Renewable liquid gases, such as Renewable & Recycled Carbon DME, play a crucial role in the energy transition, and I am thrilled to be part of this innovative development and contribute my expertise and work alongside the talented team at Dimeta to shape the future of energy.
MS: I am the Project Manager Sustainable Fuels at Dimeta. In my role, I focus on managing and supporting the development of commercial-scale low-carbon DME production plants through all stages of project development. My engineering background and passion for renewable energy and sustainable solutions motivated me to join Dimeta. I firmly believe that renewable liquid gases, such as Renewable & Recycled Carbon DME, are crucial in achieving a just and inclusive energy transition.
Moreover, I have always been drawn to cutting-edge technology projects that combine innovation with practical solutions. It is an exciting opportunity to contribute to addressing the challenges of decarbonisation and witnessing how these advancements become a reality.

Considering your experience and passions, how do you envision merging your interests with your roles at Dimeta to contribute to our mission?
MM: I am eager to merge my interests with my role at Dimeta and make a meaningful contribution to the mission of accelerating the production and use of Renewable & Recycled Carbon DME to decarbonize the off-grid sector.
Dimeta’s focus on renewable energy aligns perfectly with my passion and aspirations. Coming from the oil & gas industry, I have a clear understanding of the drawbacks of fossil fuels on the environment and the necessity of renewable energy solutions for the long term. I firmly believe that biofuels are the future of energy in Europe and worldwide, as they play a pivotal role towards a greener future.
Working at Dimeta will allow me to be part of a dedicated team actively developing projects to address these challenges.
